How would ECSW work with and help my church?

God is always active in the lives of His people and within His church. Our goal at ECSW is to help a church discern what God is already about and to help it respond to God's invitations and activity. This involves observation, dialog, prayer and discernment. ECSW members are gifted and trained in discernment, spiritual development, theology, philosophy and psychology. They would be honored to come and help your church discover what God's invitation is to your congregation for deeper relationship with Him and one another.

ECSW is a relational ministry. Developing relationships takes time, whether with one another or with God. To that end, ECSW desires to enter into long-term relationships with churches – 2 to 3 years at minimum –to properly discern God's current activity and to help root and establish a culture of relational theology. Our goal is to connect churches with local spiritual formation partners who will assist the church in discerning God's movements and their response.

We are currently working on a curriculum for our spiritual formation partners to use as a structure to help them in their work in churches. This biblical teaching tool will cover many areas of our relational theology, such as what a deep relationship with God can look like, how people can grow in discernment, and how to recognize personal hindrances to relationship with God and others.

Please contact us so we can begin to dialogue about how ECSW can be a resource for your church in the area of spiritual formation.

How is ECSW financially supported? Are you underwritten by a foundation? Why should I support you?

ECSW is currently funded by private donations. As we expand our ministries, we hope to gain additional funding from supportive foundations and the churches who we are serving. We are not underwritten by any denomination.

If you are interested in seeing the Body of Christ "grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ" (Ephesians 4:15) and in seeing ministries thrive not through human effort, but through cooperation with the work of the Holy Spirit, then supporting ECSW is a way to seek first the Kingdom of God. If you are interested in supporting ECSW financially, please let us know.
